2nd July: Garden visit. Margaret Mallott’s garden Horsforth from 1.30pm, refreshments available

6th August: Garden visit: Kate van Heel’s garden Horsforth from 1.30pm, refreshments available

21st August:  Day Trip to Southport Flower Show
Southport Flower Show is the largest independent flower show in the country, attracting over 55,000 visitors across 4 days.  The theme for 2020 theme is: Life in Bloom.  Click on the link to explore what's on at the show.  https://www.southportflowershow.co.uk/
The coach will leave Paxton at 8.00 prompt and we should arrive at the show at 10.00 and be back at approx. 7.00.
Either bring your lunch or eat at the show.
As long as you keep your ticket, you can leave the show and wander around the town and return later.

GARDEN VISITS 2018

18TH MAY at 1.30   THE ARIUM
Visit to Leeds Parks Department's new nursery situated on Thorner Lane.
We will be given a guided tour of the glasshouses followed by refreshments in their pleasant cafe.   The tour is free but there is a charge of £4.50 for tea/coffee and cake.

There is a limit on the number of people per tour (25-30) so if you wish to join the visit please put your name on the list available from Judith. 

Thorner Lane is off  the A64 and The Arium is the second turn on the right after the cemetary. Alternatively you can work your way across from the Wetherby Road.

15TH JUNE at 1.30   THE JUNGLE GARDEN at Roundhay. Details in Yellow booklet.
This is a garden with a difference which has been featured in various television programmes.  Well worth seeing.

This visit will be subsided by Friday Forum.  No refreshments available but a visit to the tea room at Tropical World is a possibility.

17TH AUGUST at 1.30  Brian Denison's garden at The Squirrels, Outwood Lane
                                        Horsforth.
Some of you will have visited this lovely garden previously but it is well worth a second viewing.

Parking on Outwood Lane is limited and it would be helpful if we could use as few cars as possible.   There is limited space at the New Road end of Outwood Lane and for people with mobility problems Brian will make space in his driveway.

No refreshments but members are welcome to visit Judith's home for tea/coffee etc.  "Its a small garden but I've coped before!"


If you have difficulties with transport please have a word with Judith or one of the committee.
